在太魯閣族傳統的兩性社會分工形態，狩獵以男性為主，女性則以織布為主，兩性在勞動場域的界線非常嚴格，一旦觸碰禁忌（Gaya），將會帶來家族或個人的不幸。

本片以田野影像筆記的方式，記錄了影像創作者的母親Heydi透過謙卑的學習與長期的實踐，跨越了過去的禁忌，並成為家族與部落認可的女性獵人。影像分為四個章節，透過書寫與影像的結合，用真實的生活故事與哲學態度，描繪女性獵人如何透過堅毅的信念撐起一片屬於女人的狩獵世界。

In the traditional gender-divided social structure of the Truku tribe, hunting culture is male-dominated, whereas women take on domestic and farming labor roles. Male and female are strictly defined by gender, and any violation of the taboo (Gaya) may bring misfortune to both the family and the individual. This film follows the director’s mother, Heydi, as she transcends the hunting taboos of the past to become a tribally recognized female hunter. The film is structured into four chapters, based on the narrative notes of the director’s observation of her mother. Through the combination of writing and images, the film depicts how a female hunter walks into the world of hunting as a woman with perseverance and faith, displaying both her real life story and philosophical attitude.
